Norman felt that the majority of modern wedges feature lots of bounce and this makes it difficult to ‘nip’ the ball off the surface, especially off tighter lies and in particular around links courses. By reducing the bounce by 50% over standard wedges you end up with a leading edge that sits ‘flush’ to the ground and allows the golfer to maximize the spin from a tight lie.

The 2011 model features new Razor groove technology which maximises spin but still stays within the new rule change.
